The global agricultural sector stands at a decisive crossroads. While the first Green Revolution successfully addressed hunger and food
insecurity, its long-term dependence on chemical-intensive practices has led to soil degradation, ecological imbalance, climate
vulnerability, escalating production costs, and growing concerns related to food safety and human health. The need of the hour is a
fundamentally different pathway - the Second Green Revolution,
one that is biology-led, soil-centric, climate-resilient, farmerprofitable, and health-oriented. This transition must move beyond
yield maximization towards system regeneration, restoring soil
biology, enhancing resilience, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
The 9th Asian PGPR International Conference โ 2026 is envisioned as a global platform to place Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria
(PGPR) and BioAg inputs at the heart of this transformation. The Conference will bring together scientists, researchers, policy
makers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, extension professionals, and farmers to accelerate the translation of cutting-edge microbial
science into scalable, field-ready agricultural solutions. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, the Conference aims to
address critical challenges such as declining soil organic carbon, reduced nutrient-use efficiency, climate extremes, environmental
pollution, and public health concernsโwhile maintaining productivity and profitability. Participants will engage with
innovative BioAg inputs that support climate-resilient agriculture sustainable food systems, and environmental regeneration.
We warmly welcome you to Goa, India, to be part of this global dialogue shaping the future of sustainable and resilient agriculture.

Sustainable BioAg Solutions
Dear Colleagues, Friends and Global Partners,
It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to the 9th Asian PGPR International Conference, to be held in Goa, India, from 23โ25 October 2026, under the inspiring theme โBioAg Inputs (Biosolutions) for the Second Green Revolution.โ
Since our humble beginning in Hyderabad, India, in 2009, the Asian PGPR Society has proudly organized a continuous series of international conferences across China, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and Taiwan โ building a strong scientific bridge across Asia and the global BioAg community. Following the grand success of the Maha Kisan Mela 2025 and the powerful voices of our Annadatas (farmers), we felt a renewed global responsibility to address the scientific, policy, and field-level challenges raised during the Mela and strengthen the mission of the Second Green Revolution.
The overwhelming response from farmers, scientists, and industry leaders has placed upon us a tremendous responsibility to accelerate a biology-driven, soil-centric, climate-resilient, and farmer-profitable agricultural transformation. We therefore invite global leaders and innovators from around the world to join this collective movement.
Aligned with the visionary leadership of Honโble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and India Vision 2047, this conference will integrate BioAg innovations, digital agriculture, organic and natural farming systems, and regenerative technologies to support a healthier planet and humanity โ โMake the World Healthy Again.โ
Beyond academic excellence, I warmly invite you to experience the cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and rich culinary flavors of Goa. Let us come together to deliberate, collaborate, and act for the future of sustainable agriculture.
I look forward to welcoming you personally to Goa.
With warm regards,
Prof. M. S. Reddy

The Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture is a globally respected, non-profit, science-driven platform dedicated to advancing plantโmicrobe innovations, sustainable agriculture, and farmer empowerment. Founded in 2009, the Society has played a pioneering role in strengthening the scientific, technological, and field-level foundations of Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and allied BioAg solutions across diverse agroecological regions. From its first international conference in Hyderabad, India, the Society has successfully convened a continuous series of major international conferences across China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and Taiwan, creating a strong scientific bridge across Asia and the global BioAg community. These forums have become powerful platforms for policy dialogue, technology exchange, industry partnerships, and farmer-focused innovation.
The Society functions as a neutral, inclusive, and interdisciplinary platform, integrating research excellence with real-world agricultural impact while supporting the global transition toward biology-led, soil-centric, climate-resilient, and sustainable food systems. Today, the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture has 2,000+ Life Members from across the globe, with rapidly expanding national chapters in multiple Asian countries and strong global representation from Universities, Research Institutes, Industry leaders, Policy makers, NGOs, and Farmer Organizations.
The Society has signed MoUs with leading Scientific Societies, Agricultural Universities, Government Institutions, Industry partners, and International Organizations worldwide, strengthening collaborative research, capacity building, commercialization pathways, and policy engagement. More than a scientific association, the Asian PGPR Society is a global force for changeโactively working to influence regulations, reform agricultural policies, and accelerate the adoption of BioAg Inputs (Biosolutions), including PGPR, biostimulants, microbial consortia, and plant microbiome technologies. Our mission is to position these biological solutions at the core of the Second Green Revolution, supporting food security, climate resilience, farmer profitability, and human health.
The Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture remains committed to shaping a future where biology becomes the foundation of sustainable farming systems worldwide.
Goa University was established under the Goa University Act of 1984 (Act No. 7 of 1984) and commenced operations on 1 June 1985. Over the years, the University has steadily expanded its academic reach and institutional framework, emerging as one of the leading higher education institutions in the region.
Today, the University has a strong network of nearly 70 affiliated colleges offering both professional and general education programmes. The academic structure of the University includes ten interdisciplinary Schools, formed through the amalgamation of traditional departments to encourage collaboration and enable the organic development of new and emerging academic programs.
These Schools offer a wide range of academic programs across multiple disciplines, including 3 Undergraduate Degree programs, 44 Masterโs Degree programs, 28 Ph.D. programs, along with several certificate and diploma courses. October is one of the most beautiful and pleasant months in Goa. The monsoon has just withdrawn,
leaving behind lush green landscapes, clear skies, and a refreshing atmosphere. The weather is warm
but comfortable, with lower humidity, making it ideal for both conference participation and family travel.
This is the start of Goaโs tourist seasonโwhen popular beaches such as Baga, Anjuna, Calangute, and Miramar
begin to come alive, yet remain uncrowded and relaxed. The calm sea, golden sunsets, and clean beaches
provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation after conference sessions.
October also offers a rich blend of culture and heritage. With festivals like Diwali, the state glows
with lights, music, and traditional celebrations, giving international delegates a unique opportunity
to experience Indiaโs cultural diversity. Goaโs historic churches, temples, Portuguese-era architecture,
spice plantations, and heritage villages add depth and charm to every visit. As beach shacks, cafรฉs, and
nightlife reopen, delegates and their families can enjoy authentic Goan cuisine, fresh seafood, vibrant music,
and warm hospitalityโall without the peak-season crowds.
In short, October in Goa offers the perfect balance of learning, networking, relaxation, culture, and
family enjoyment, making your visit for the 9th Asian PGPR International Conference truly memorable.
